Rathlin Islanders in Maine 1900
Although a mass exodus of Islanders was reported about 1847, in reality about 127 people left in one day (still a fair number), however between 1841 and 1861 the population of the island had more than halved.
Here are some proven Rathlin Islanders in Maine for the 1900 census with likely ones in blue. I’ve made notes in red, if anyone can help clear up these lines I’d be very grateful. The households are in the same order as they appear on the census a horizontal line denotes a break between households, families are grouped together, if no line appears between households then they are next door to each other.
