A nephew was a police sargeant (perhaps Charles Donnelly, policeman, 136 Colborne St. in 1883/84 Lovell’s Directory - M ontreal).

She was 31 in 1881 Census (i.e. born in 1850). Ethnic origin noted as Scottish in 1881 Census.

Her age at death was noted as 57 in the parish register (i.e. born in 1849).

In 1901 Census, St. Anne Ward, Montreal, an Emily born in Ontario, 1855 is living with husband William born in Irelan d 1855 and son Francis Donnelly. This is a different couple, but Maud McCready, Alexander and Emily’s daughter, was liv ing with them in the 1891 census.

Adine took over as 'mother' to the family when Ellen died. She was 24 at the time. When her mother died she was livin g at #1201, East 47 Street, Chicago, Ill. but she moved back to Ottawa to 469 Coopeer Street then to 89 Hinton Avenue , Ottawa (in 1919).

Adine was a stenographer for Hansard (in Ottawa?) then got a job at the British Embassy in Washington. She later becam e office manager of the Natural Rubber Bureau in Washington. 1930 US Census has her occupation as bookeeper for a la w office hand having immigrated to the U.S. in 1918.

Nora’s family visited often in the summer. Nora was with Adene when she died.

Annie was a teacher at St. Bridget Separate School in Ottawa.

Ann wrote a letter to her mother asking her permission to marry. She was born and raised in Trenton and came to Orilli a to teach school. She met her husband in Orillia. They lived the rest of their life in the city and died there.

When Robert Hugh was quite young he remembers going to a funeral in Montreal. This may have been the funeral of Cathar ine McCready (Carbray) in 1924.

When husband died in 1924, sold their Ceathramh an Fhancaidh farm in N Ballygill. Lived wit h her mother at N Claggan, then bought John Ruadh's house, South Claggan, in 1927,
where she was joined by her brother Patrick and by Alec Morrison. After Alec married in 1942 , Mary and Patrick went back to John and his wife in N Claggan.
